Bit o’ Everything

An Everyday Goddess

Celia Ferran is a musician originally from the Milwaukee, WI area who now calls the road – and her Prius, the Pria-Venus – home. Choosing not to have any rent or mortgage anchor her down, she travels around the US and Europe sharing her beautiful vocals, comedic wit, and Irish sass.

Compared to Celia’s previous material, this album was a no-holds-barred, emotional message to those who have hurt her in the past. She called it her “Lemonade” album, referring to Beyonce’s award winning visual album released in 2016.

Using photos taken on a trip to Ireland, this project definitely tested my Photoshopping chops. Communicating 100% via email and social media chatting, this collaboration was challenging and exciting for the both of us.

A Big Dog With A Big Heart

Magnus was a guardian dog for Victory Garden Farm in Fredonia, WI. When he crossed over the rainbow bridge, his presence was deeply missed not only by the farm owner Vanessa, but by the other guardian dogs and animals he kept watch over.

Vanessa wanted a design that would honor Magnus’ big heart, which matched his actual size. The final results would be stickers, t-shirts, and other merchandise that would be sold on the farm’s website.

Her vision was to create a style similar to the art of Shepard Fairey, most well known for the “Hope” campaign poster for President Barack Obama. Vanessa also appreciated the propaganda poster look from the 40s and 50s.

The Button Project

What happens when you give a graphic designer a button maker and the supplies to make 2,000 buttons? A little fun, a little sass, all harkening back to my high school days of buttons pinned to EVERYTHING. This is a personal project inspired by requests by friends and other things that I have stumbled upon.

Entering the Podcast World

Aaron Covey (full disclosure: my husband) wanted to get into podcasting for quite some time… but what could he talk about that would actually be interesting to people? He realized that he had been considered a practicing Pagan for nearly 20 years, but there was still so much out there he had yet to learn. Enter: The Middle-Aged Baby Pagan Podcast.

I was given very, VERY little direction with what to do for a logo. Honestly, I couldn’t even tell you I had any clear, calculated plans when I put this together. Sometimes, when you love someone, it just works out.
